I Want Nanette Lepore's Manhattan Home

Tuesday, March 22, 2011

A few weeks ago, my husband and I booked our flights to Nice, France. I know, I know! I can't believe I haven't told you all yet but yes, we were invited to go with Andrew & Trisha (brother and sister-in-law) to stay for free (yes, I said free!) at a 2br apt in Nice. I'm still in shock and don't quite believe that we're going, but I'm sure in a week or two it'll start sinking in. I'll be sure to do a post on this so I can start preparing mentally.

Because we only had travel books on Paris (still not sure when we'll go, 2012 maybe?) we went to Barnes & Noble to get some Nice travel books. While there, I secretly made a dash to the home interiors section and stumbled upon Jonathan Adler's, "Happy Chic Accessorizing". I knew I would enjoy it, but the minute I opened it to the first page I was hooked. Right there was the above image of none other than Nanette Lepore's living room.

Remember the post I did on Nanette Lepore's kid's room? And how much I loved it to the point where I wanted it as my own bedroom?? Well, now I am in love with the rest of her house. It's full of statement pieces and bold, saturated colors. It feels like a glamorous space to live, lounge, and play in. More reason to love Jonathan Adler.

  2. Nice... nice. I am SOOOOOO covetous of Nanette Lepore's NYC digs! Her home such perfection that it's making me secretly hate my own house - which I completely loved until I saw this spread. Thanks for the post... it's being bookmarked big time.

  3. @Susan - Thank you!!! I still can't believe it! Yes, you're absolutely right. I'm so glad we'll be going with friends to enjoy it all. I'll be sure to post photos as soon as we get back :)

@Deana - Thank you so much! I know what you mean! I question all of my decor choices in my own home when I see photos of her house! It's terrible! Haha. And her outdoor area is just to-die-for. I need to get Jonathan Adler over to my house asap.
