High Fashion Home

Who's happy it's a Friday of a 3-day weekend? I am! Steve and I have plans to relax, go shopping (that's more my idea), and start working on the nursery. You would think that we would've started earlier, but since I can't lift heavy objects and Steve is so busy with work, we just haven't had time (or energy) to really work on it until now. I am super excited to get the room cleared out so we can start testing out paint colors. And even though we're sticking pretty close to the Design Board I created, a part of me wishes I could be a bit bolder with some of items going in the nursery. It doesn't help that I just started reading "Hue" by Kelly Wearstler because this woman is all about being fearless with her designs. I love that about her, and think she is the absolute definition of fabulous.

All you need to do is look at images of her interiors and you can pretty much tell what her aesthetic is all about: glamour, color, and individuality. I'll throw in sexy for good measure too. Whatever this woman creates just dazzles me and I honestly cannot stop looking at her designs. Her love of mid-century furnishings echoes my own and her use of gold inspires me. Oddly enough, my favorite image out of the bunch below is the very last one. The light fixtures, the gold & white palette, and the softness of the peach chairs is a heavenly combination. Which is your favorite?

Have a great weekend!
