High Point Market 2013

Friday, April 26, 2013

DwellStudio did not disappoint. Not one bit.

Sorry for the delay in getting this up, folks! It was a rather busy week with lots to do and very little time (isn't that always the case?). I'll be able to tell you more about one of the projects that I was working on sometime very soon. Not sure when, but I'll definitely make an announcement about it since I am really excited for when it does happen. Hmm, sounds cryptic enough for you?? Trust me, it'll be worth the wait.

Another reason why it took me so long to get this post up was because of the sheer volume of photos that I had to sort and sift through. I guess I should explain what High Point Market is before you guys dive right into the photos, huh? High Point Market is "the largest furnishings industry trade show in the world, bringing more than 75,000 people to High Point every six months." **More info here.

And they'd be right about that. It was otherworldly! This was my first time ever going to HPM and I was absolutely blown away. I had some idea of what to expect, but I was in no way prepared for how amazing the whole experience would be. For someone who is only able to see trade-only furnishings online, it was eye-opening to see (and feel) the pieces in person. If I ever get lucky enough to go again, I'll be sure to make a point to reach out to fellow bloggers who are also going so that I can meet with them in person. Paloma, Erin, Ashlina, Christian, & Lance (my Instagram buddy) were just some of the bloggers/Instagrammers that were at HPM that I wished I had met.

Enough with my babbling, enjoy the photos! I'll have a few more photos of HPM next week since I didn't even cover lighting in this post. Crazy, right? And there were photos that I didn't get to take of new favorite vendors (my phone died for about 4 hours - I was going out of my mind!), so I'll cover that too. If you have any questions regarding any of the photos, please contact me!
Have a great weekend!

The biggest gold mirror found at Pearson's. Jokes aside, they had THE most comfortable upholstery I've ever sat in. Everything, really.

Dark & Moody

What a great gallery wall.

Noir is like Anthropologie's dark & edgy sister shoppe.

Color Report

On the other end of the spectrum, CR Laine kept it fun and playful with bright colors & patterns.

Bungalow 5 really hit the nail on the head. Not that they wouldn't have, but boy, I was floored every time we went to their showroom. Yep, we kept going back because it was that good.

Subtle & Subdued

I don't know why, but this vignette reminded me of Carrie's living room in the first SATC movie.

Hands-down the coolest artwork at HPM.

Pretty Pairs

These little beauties were not only, well beautiful but also comfortable too.

I finally got to see (and sit in) these chairs at DwellStudio.

My Favorites {Drool Here}

Drink it in, aren't they absolutely gorgeous?? Worlds Away, you get me so well.

You know I can't turn down a fabulous gold mirror.

Green velvet sings to my inner Scarlett O'Hara.

I wanted to take this home with me SO badly.

Who's Who

We had a hoot meeting Alexa Hampton. Such a vivacious personality and her rooms definitely reflect that.

If you don't know who Mariette Himes Gomez is, then you obviously haven't seen Bethenney Ever After. She was Bethenney's quirky and fabulous interior designer for her NYC apartment and we were lucky enough to meet her at Hickory Chair's showroom.

The cool and quiet Suzanne Kasler.

Got to meet one of the designers of Worlds Away. Had to chat with one of the creative minds from one of my favorite companies.

  1. I mean, I am jealous every time I see photos from HP, but I seriously think I would spontaneously combust if I attended. So. Much. Goodness.
