Good morning! Hope you guys had a great weekend! We had a great time with our neighbors Saturday night and then had an impromptu picnic at Jonas Green Park on Sunday. There's nothing like dining al fresco right by the water on a beach. Albeit, it's a small beach and not meant for swimming, but we'll take what we can get!

I went into the city the other night for a blogger event at Lincoln Restaurant (a gorgeous space, I would just go there to see the interior again!), and wore this outfit there. It's funny, I always stress myself out with what I'm going to wear to these blogger events, because these girls really know how to dress. But this time around, I told myself not to do that and to dress just the way I want. Not to impress anyone, but to be myself and be comfortable. And I have to say, I really like this outfit a lot.

A lot of times I feel like I need to buy an entire outfit anytime I have an event to go to, but the only new item I picked up for this outfit was the blouse from Marshall's and it was under $20! So that barely counts as buying anything new, right? Everything else was something that I already had in my closet. And that's how it should be, right? Being able to find pieces in your wardrobe that'll work with new items. I kept everything pretty simple and neutral since I wanted the top to be the star of the outfit. And I'm trying to find every excuse to wear white shorts before Summer is over. Does anyone else feel that way too?

What do you guys think of this outfit? Is it something you would wear for a night out or for date night? I might have to wear this the next time Steve and I have date night...

  1. I've definitely been on a "consume less" mode lately too. One person doesn't realy need so much stuff.

I absolutely love this outfit on you. Your legs look fantastic!! And these sandals look very comfy. ;)
