Hi guys! I'm so excited that I finally get to share with you my Pink Pride outfit from my latest feature in Capital Style Magazine. The October issue is all about Breast Cancer Awareness and we wanted to showcase some in-demand pink fashions from the fabulous local boutiques in Annapolis in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month.

To show my support, my pink pride outfit is all about being able to wear something bold (that gorgeous Nanette Lepore Handloom Shift Dress from Wrabyn) but showing you that you can keep it work appropriate (with the white blazer) or after work fun (with those heels). I realize that pink is a very polarizing color for women. Some women looove it and some keep far away from it. I wanted to show you that you can wear it and keep is as edgy/masculine as you want it to be, or as girly & feminine as you'd like. It's all about how you layer and accessorize your pink piece. Because the dress has a lot of black mixed throughout the print, I added other black pieces to tie it together all while keeping it a bit more edgy and less frou frou.

Even if you're not all about pink, show your support for Breast Cancer Awareness month by wearing some!

The Marlton Hotel. The loveliest hotel we've ever stayed in. It was so well-appointed that we didn't care how small the room was.
We are back from our quick trip to NYC and had just about the best time! Even though we were there for one night, we really packed it in. I was able to meet with a friend and talk shop, then Steve and I walked around and did a little shopping (so rare for the two of us to do this without Cora), and then it was time for our dinner reservations. The next morning we woke up somewhat early to grab some breakfast and enjoyed it at Washington Square Park while people watching. We squeezed in a few more shopping destinations after that and then ended our trip with the kind of comfort food you'd want when staying in the NYU area, ramen. Met my friend, Courtney, at Buvette's, a cafe that instantly transported me to France.

We don't have a crew cuts section in our J.Crew in Annapolis, so I was having entirely too much fun finding all sorts of goodies for Cora at the one on 5th Ave.

Enjoyed a magical, romantic dinner at Palma. The setting was to-die-for and the wall of perfectly blossomed roses was insane.

Absolutely magical.

After dinner, we stumbled upon the coolest, most fun vintage shop ever, Krystyna's Place. The owner, Krystyna, was a total kindred spirit and we bonded over how we both love vintage everything and our hoarding tendencies.

This dress stole my heart.

Just stunning. There's really nothing more that you can say about this.

Fab-u-lous.

Simple yet sooo good.

Another one that I just had to try on.

No trip to NYC is complete without a stop at Fishs Eddy.

Ended our trip with some good 'ol comfort food at Ramen-Ya.

I love hats. Despite the fact that I don't wear them that often, I really do love them. And the minute I saw this modern floppy fedora, I knew it would be the perfect accessory for this Fall season. I took it out for a spin with my new Loft printed blouse for a coffee date with my husband and I have to say, this is now my favorite look for Fall. It's easy, comfortable and warm too!

We've had such a packed weekend and just a packed schedule in general that I've been quite naughty with posting anything on the blog. But I'm back and wanted to share a few snaps of what's been going on lately. And I wanted to share the newest items from Shop Proper Hunt too!

I met up with my incredibly stylish friend, Tammy, for a long overdue lunch and she, of course, knew of the hottest place to go in the city. Toki Underground is the coolest ramen shop in town and I highly recommend checking it out. The Fried Chicken Steamed Buns is amazing as is their Red Miso Ramen dish.

Every Fall season, I find myself wanting a new coat and well, this year is no different. But this year, I'm adding vests and jackets to my wish list. It couldn't be helped, especially when I can see myself wearing them so easily this Fall and Winter. And I'm particularly loving that poncho - so good, right? Does anyone else feel like this past weekend flew by? I mean, it's like I blinked and it just all of a sudden became Monday. So funny how some weekends feel like that and others seem to take their time. I'm getting back into the swing of things (just recovered from a lingering cold) since there's lots happening around here. I've got a fashion event next week Thursday (10/16) that the ladies of HERE.a pop-up shop, Wrabyn, and Jane Hruska accessories are hosting at Metropolitan in downtown Annapolis. It's going to be so much fun, if you're around, please stop by! It's from 5pm-10pm and is a free event with a fashion walk to show off the gorgeous items from Wrabyn and Jane Hruska.

Then we've got our NYC anniversary trip the day after that event (so excited!), and then it's Halloween! This week is when I'll start getting the house in Halloween mode, and I'm especially excited about it this year because Cora can pretty much understand what's going on. Wish me luck getting it all ready for her.

I just wanted to share a few snaps of this past weekend and what we were up to.

Was a total natural when it came to the pony rides at Clark's Elioak Farm during her daycare field trip.

Feeding baby goats wasn't exactly as fun as riding the ponies. She tried but decided quickly that it was not for her.
