Christmas Weekend Recap

christmas-2015-1
The Pier 1 water hyacinth placemats were a great neutral placemat with our wedding china, the Ralph Lauren Mandarin Dinnerware set. I kept it real simple, and I'm glad I didn't overthink it this year. Sometimes simplicity is best, no?

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you all had a great Christmas weekend! We sure did and I am in total relaxation mode since it was jam-packed with lots of fun activities and family get-togethers. I won't write much here since there are tons of pics below, so I'll just let you scroll and read the captions to see what we were up too!

We mixed Steve's grandmother's etched glassware with other wine glasses we had and it was nice to see it all on the table.

The Frozen CD player that Cora got was a major hit.

Vivi wearing Steve's 1st Christmas outfit that Cora also wore on her first Christmas. So thankful that Steve's mom saved these special pieces for the girls to wear.

Here I am with all three of my girls.

My first Bûche de Noël! I was so inspired and motivated by watching The Great British Bake-off that I had to try my hand at making this yummy dessert. If you haven't seen this show yet and are into baking, you NEED to see it!

Sorry for the blurry pic, she was just too fast for me in her Gap Dot Drop Waist Dress!

christmas-2015-11
I saved Cora's Christmas dress from a few years back just in case we had another girl, and I am SO glad I did! Vivi got to wear her big sis' dress and it was just about the cutest thing ever because anything that shows off those sumo wrestler/marshmallow arms are what I want to see! And you know I wore that ridiculously comfy dress from Anthro just like I said I would!

My day-after-Christmas outfit was all about ease and comfort.
Gap Wool Wrap Coat / Prada Sunglasses / J.Crew Signature Leggings / Sam Edelman Petty Boots

Yesterday, we headed to the National Zoo since the weather was unseasonably warm (everyone else had the same idea!), and this was my outfit of choice. Keeping it simple with a button-down shirt (for easy nursing) and my J.Crew jacket from a few years back to keep me warm.
LOFT Plaid Tunic Softened Shirt / H&M Skinny Jeans / J.Crew Field Mechanic Jacket / Sam Edelman Petty Boots / Hobo The Original Sheila Bag
