You guys know how much I love jewelry, right? I'm a bauble fiend, so when I discovered Hyla DeWitt's jewelry line, I was overjoyed because it's so unique from other jewelry brands you see nowadays. It's definitely jewelry for grownups, which I love. It doesn't feel too frou frou, is totally statement making, and has just a hint of the kind of exotic that really pulls me in.
The other day, I got the most lovely package sent to me from Hyla herself (thank you SO much!) and I just couldn't help but not do a quick photo shoot wearing her gorgeous earrings. I seriously want to wear these earrings every.single.day. I did a roundup of just a handful of her pieces that I am obsessed with. Check them out below!

One of my favorite home decor boutiques, Open Door Shop, is now carrying baby items! The lovely ladies who own this boutique, Leslie & Marion, are the chicest of chic girls I know and were SO sweet to send baby #2 a few gifts from their new baby department. They recently added baby items to their boutique and it's no surprise because Leslie is expecting her first baby! Congratulations Leslie!
And if sending me sweet gifts weren't enough, Leslie & Marion want to treat all you mamas and mamas-to-be (or if you're looking for a gift for someone who has a baby or is about to have a baby) who follow Proper Hunt with a discount code to get 20% off all of their Baby items from now until Sunday 3/1! Forever 21 Cable Knit Fringe Cardigan / Liz Lange Maternity Ruched Tee / A Pea in the Pod Distressed Maternity Skinny Jeans / Julie Vos Lion Pendant with Stone / Report Signature Travi Booties / Clare V. Duffle Petit / Julie Vos Bangle (similar) / Prada Sunglasses
Happy Monday you guys! It's been a while since I've shared an outfit post, I blame the cold, cold winter. It's been way too cold for me to be outside for those shoots, but thankfully it was a bit warmer yesterday so I said, enough is enough, let's do this!
I wasn't going to share this post until Wednesday, but it turns out that Piperlime is having a huge sale on their sale items so I had to show you how amazing these Report Signature Travi Booties are, because they're an additional 30% off from their sale price! I love them and wear them all the time. They're great because they instantly elevate my outfit from being casual to something a little more polished and chic.
As you can see in these photos, my baby bump is getting bigger and bigger everyday. When I was 22 weeks last time around, I was not showing this much, but they say when you're pregnant the second time, things get bigger sooner. And that is definitely what is happening to me. With my bump getting bigger, I've come up with a few standard outfits that are comfy, look good (I hope!), and are easy on the wallet. This is the first of the outfits that I will be sharing.
There's nothing like a cozy cardigan to wear during the winter months. And it's perfect on top of a body-hugging tee or tank (like the one I'm wearing) with some skinny jeans and booties. It's such an easy go-to outfit of mine lately and is so affordable. I mean, this Forever 21 Cable Knit Fringe Cardigan is under $30 and comes in cream too! What I love about this outfit is that you can still see my figure underneath that cardigan because of the body-hugging tee. One thing I'm going through again with this pregnancy is feeling a bit unsexy, and wearing something that shows just even a little bit of the figure that I'm holding on to, is so helpful mentally & emotionally.
So, for that Piperlime sale I was talking about earlier. Here are the details:
Extra 30% off Sale Items + Extra 50% off Final Sale Items - Use code SALEONSALE, ends 2/24/15.

I was really craving some blueberry hand pies (I think I'm just craving anything and everything to do with warmer weather), so I used Camille Styles recipe. The only thing I didn't follow in the recipe is ready-made Pillsbury pie crust and it turned out beautifully. It was
Hi guys! I realized after I had Instagrammed my Thai rice noodle bowl last night, that I hadn't shared the other two recipes that I made a few weeks before. So without further ado, bon appétit!
I'm a huge fan of one-pot meals and this Creamy Chicken and Rice does not disappoint. It also made so much that we were able to freeze another dinner sized portion for the three of us for another night. And if you need any more convincing, Cora is o b s e s s e d with this dish.
Thai food is one of my favorite cuisines to eat, but it's somewhat on the pricey side for a week night takeout meal. So I thought, why not try to find a recipe that satisfies my Thai cravings (been having a lot of those during this pregnancy) and that's easy for someone who's never made Thai food before. This Thai rice noodle bowl is so easy and absolutely fool-proof. Most of you know that between Steve and I, I am not the cook so when I cook something and it actually turns out good enough for the resident chef, you know it's a recipe to try out.

With the temps being so cold this week and my mind constantly escaping to somewhere warm and tropical (that started right after Christmas, shocker), it was pretty obvious that I was going to gather some favorite Spring Break pieces to share on here. We're still figuring out if we're going to head to the beach sometime soon, but you better believe I would pack everything in this roundup to take with me. I mean, those Loeffler Randall Saffron Ankle Wrap Sandals are perfection. A white sandal with tassels?? Yes, please! I've been coveting that Madewell Easy Silk Dress in Batik Vine since it came out and just know I would wear it all the time, especially post-baby. Not that the 3.1 Phillip Lim Pashli Medium Satchel is anything new, but I'm loving the light/neutral color. I can see it going with literally everything in my closet. And I cannot say how much I love Instagram, because without it I wouldn't discover cool brands like Gorman (located in Australia) and I wouldn't have fallen in love with their Luau Tank. The color contrast between the dark blue tank and raffia embroidery at the top is lovely and is the kind of top I need during the warmer months.
Stay warm & safe friends!

While we were in Florida, I went to Old Navy to find a few things for Cora. She needed some basics, but as usual, I was drawn towards all of their new arrivals. Sooo many cute things that I just couldn't pass a few up for Cora. One item being this perfect-for-Valentine's-Day glitter graphic fleece dress.
This past Sunday, it was actually warm enough to be outside and enjoy the outdoors, so it was the perfect day to shoot a long overdue Cora's Closet post. And if it wasn't obvious enough, Cora clearly had a blast being in front of the camera again.

Happy Monday! I hope you guys all had a fabulous weekend. Ours started out with some amazing news - we found out that Baby #2 is a GIRL! We are beyond thrilled and can only imagine all of the fun we will have with her and Cora when she arrives in late June. Speaking of Cora, she is totally excited about having a baby sister. In fact, when I told her the news, she gave me a big smile, looked at my belly and gave me a big hug. It was the sweetest thing and I know she understands what's going on.
After we found out, we of course celebrated by getting some dessert. I couldn't help but find the girliest macaron (see above) to help share our news on Instagram, because it ain't true if it's not on Instagram, right?
More girly sweet treats were found at the Amish Market at the Harbor Center.
It was so hard to walk away from all of this and not get anything! Pure torture.
Then the following morning, we pigged out at IHOP with Steve's mom and brother's family. Can you believe all we wanted to do after this meal was nap all day long? Yea, it's not that hard to believe, huh?
For those of you who don't believe that I have a bump, this one's for you. 20 weeks and counting.

Even though it was too chilly to be out sunbathing, we wanted to check out the Cabana Beach Club that is a part of the Marriott Sawgrass Hotel which is where we were staying for Steve's conference.
I have to warn you that there are a ton of photos in today's post from our road trip to Ponte Vedra (right near Jacksonville, FL) and Charleston. It couldn't be helped, there was a lot to capture while we were there. We are normally not road trip people. The idea of being inside a car for more than an hour with a toddler isn't exactly what I'd voluntarily sign up for. But we decided that because there was a snowstorm coming, it might be a good time for Cora and I to escape the cold by going on this road trip with Steve to his work conference in Ponte Vedra, Florida. It was such a last minute decision that Steve was canceling his flights while we were en route! And my fears of being in a car with Cora for an extended period of time was completely unfounded, because she was so good the entire time both there and back. We made sure to do at least one stop every 3 hours just to let her stretch her legs, use the potty, and eat some food.
On the way back home, we decided to break up the trip by stopping in Charleston, South Carolina for an overnighter. Steve had never been there before and I really wanted him to see just a little bit of it to entice him to come back with me for a longer stay. I was also lucky enough to meet up with two friends there that I had met during The Southern C Summit that I had gone to back in April. Check out the photos below to see what we were up to in both cities.
I can definitely see us coming back to Ponte Vedra when the weather gets warmer. It was such a beautiful, clean, and friendly place, easily making it a top destination for us to drive to.
It felt so good to have lunch with a great view of the beach and palm trees.
Cora is beyond excited to see swimming pools at our hotel. Too bad it was too cold to go swimming. But she didn't seem to get to down about it.
Shopping is always on my trip itinerary, so a stop at St. John's Town Center was a must. Thankfully, they had a little play area for kids, so Cora had a great time too.
I knew I was going to like this rug when I saw it on West Elm's website, but I really wanted to take it home with me when I saw it in person.
Our last meal in Ponte Vedra was at Poppy's Italiano and I am not kidding when I say the food was beyond amazing. This right here is a Boursin Cheese Bruschetta. Yes, a boursin cheese bruschetta! It was sooo good - every Italian restaurant should offer this. And I would've taken a photo of the best bolognese spaghetti I've ever had at a restaurant (because Steve makes the best bolognese I've ever had), except I devoured it before I could think to take a pic. I highly recommend this place and don't let the fact that it's in a strip mall fool you. The food is good. Period.
The day we left Ponte Vedra, it warmed up to 63 degrees, a perfect day to rock a Canadian tuxedo. Both top and jeans are from Motherhood Maternity and are absolutely comfortable.
The last time I was in Charleston, I didn't get a chance to check out Hampden Clothing, so I told myself it would be the number one place I would stop at during our short stay. I literally wanted every single piece of clothing, shoe, handbag, jewelry that is stocked in this store.
James is the accessories store of Hampden Clothing and it is absolute heaven for all you shoe/handbag/jewelry lovers.
The next day I met with my friend Ellie, who took me to the most perfect coffee shop I've ever been to. The decor in St. Alban is on point, there's plenty of seating (which is usually the problem at coffee shops), and the coffee is good.
And because Ellie couldn't just show me a cute coffee shop, she took me to Pixie Lily's showroom downtown and I just about died over the cuteness of these infant & children's clothes. Everything is hand embroidered and I cannot wait to show you what Leda, the owner of Pixie Lily, gave to Cora for the Spring & Summer months!
I'm still regretting not getting that Cynthia Rowley dress on the right.
I had originally wanted us to eat at The Park Cafe after so many of you recommended it (thank you!), but because of time and because Cora wanted to go on a horsey ride/tour, we stopped at Kitchen 208 for lunch before heading back to Annapolis. And it did NOT disappoint. I ordered the buttermilk fried chicken sandwich and it was the kind of meal you want to eat before you leave Charleston, cause it'll make you feel better even though you're leaving a fabulous place.
And to be more of a masochist before leaving for home, we stopped in at The Pink Chicken to grab a few goodies for Cora. Let me just warn you mamas out there, this place is dangerous. I easily wanted to buy out the entire store, but I didn't. The hubby was grateful that I didn't.
Not that we needed to end our trip on a literal sweet note because we had such a great time during our short stay, but my sweet tooth along with Cora's was calling us into this sweet candy shop near the market house.
