An Easy, Breezy Gingham Skirt

Hi friends! How is it already Wednesday? I feel like it was just Easter Sunday! Speaking of which, we had such a wonderful Easter with family. Hope you all did too! It was actually the first year that we didn't spend it with my parents. They were in Hawaii (don't feel too bad for them missing out on our fun) visiting my grandmother. We first started the morning off with a little Easter egg hunt for the girls in the house. Even though they've already done a few egg hunts (one in the neighborhood and one at school), we just wanted to have one at home just for fun. The girls loved it and enjoyed candy before 8am. Yup, #badparenting on Easter Sunday but we figured it's Easter so why not.

We then got ready for church and let me tell you, it was crazy town in our house that morning. Trying to get both girls ready when they've got sugar pumping in their veins, getting ourselves ready, and mind you I'm still sick (my cold was peaking too), was all a bit much but we managed to make it to the 9:15am service! It was a total Easter miracle in our household. We were joined by my mother-in-law, who had never been to our church before and so that was a treat for us having her there on Easter Sunday!

Then for dinner, my brothers and future sister-in-law came over for Easter dinner and it was the best time ever. Our girls loved spending time with their uncles & aunt and we let them stay up way past their bedtime because they were just having so much fun. I can honestly say that this was one of the best Easter's I've ever had, I'm still on an Easter high.

And with that, I have to share what I wore to church on Sunday. I went a little retro with my look and I have to say, it was such a fun look to wear. It was lady-like, comfortable, and chic. I feel like it's not a look I normally wear, but it's definitely becoming a favorite look of mine. I felt very Grace Kelly in the South of France or something and that is a good feeling. I must have sub-consciously chosen this look since I had watched To Catch A Thief that Friday and gotten inspired by it all. If you haven't seen the movie already, it is a fabulous movie! The style, the story, all of it is so good. I highly recommend watching it!

Speaking of style and a different locale, I need to start figuring out what I'm packing for our trip to Florida. Wish me luck in getting organized so that I don't overpack! You can see some of the items I'm definitely bringing over on my Insta-Stories.
