Our Thanksgiving

Like I said in my Thanksgiving Tablescapes post, I was inspired by the last photo for our own tablescape.

The table is set, the bar is stocked, and the fridge is busting at the seams. I'd say we're ready to have a Thanksgiving feast with loved ones. So much time and preparation have gone into making today a day of eating and spending time with family and friends. But I realized just last night, amidst all of the planning and preparing for today, that I completely forgot the reason why we have Thanksgiving in the first place. I was too busy thinking about the flowers we would have, or what kinds of side dishes we would be serving, to realize what today is all about. And at that moment, I started to really count my blessings, literally. I have much to be thankful for and while I do tend to forget from time to time, today wont' be one of those days.

Thank you to my family, friends, and readers for allowing me to share my musings in this blog. It really is one of the joys of my life and I'm so happy that I can share it with you.
