Cline Rose Designs

It feels like it has been forever and a day since my last post, but that's probably because so many things have happened this week. Wonderful things I might add! I'll start in chronological order. My younger brother got a great job offer (yay!), one of my best friends got engaged (hooray!), and I met with a fabulous interior designer to talk shop. All in all, it has been a great week full of exciting news and I particularly want to share with you the latter bit in fuller detail.

Lately, I've been dabbling with the idea of making a career change into the dazzling world of interior design (bet that wasn't hard to figure). And because I have such good and amazing friends (thank you Maria and LWs!), I was told by said friends to reach out to Joanna of Cline Rose Designs to get more insight into how I could accomplish making a successful career change. We met for drinks and appetizers (spinach dip at Whitlows is to die-for) Thursday night and chatted for a good 2-3 hours. Well, to say that Jo (I'm on a nickname basis now) is absolutely fabulous is just not enough. The girl and I had SO much in common and it was so much fun to talk with someone who feels the exact same way I do about everything, even down to our love of trashy tv shows (oh, Bravo, you've really sucked us in). She is not only a great interior designer (check out her stuff on her site!), but also a great blogger. Her writing is smart, witty, and funny and she's got great things to say when it comes to interior designing.

But getting back to business. I got some really great advice from Jo, and I honestly left our "date" knowing that this potential career change would be the best thing for me. And I'm pretty sure we both left knowing that there are still great things to come from the both of us. With that said, I'll just say for now that we are going to be brainstorming, so keep an eye out for news from the both of us!
