Weekend Fun of Gilt, Madewell, & Jonathan Adler

Cora watching her penny drop as she makes her 1st wish at the fountain {left}. Ready to roll outta the store getting her first pair of real shoes {right}.

Oh, where do I start with telling you about my weekend? Friday night was full of unexpected fun at the Gilt City Warehouse Sale. I had never been to one before and didn't know what to expect, so I went in thinking I was hopefully going to snag some deals (which I did!), but I wasn't expecting to run into Meg and meet 5 other DC bloggers! I was lucky enough to meet Jamie, Melanie, Tammy, Katya, & Carlis. We ended up heading to a bar not too far from the venue where the warehouse sale was and had such a fun time chatting about anything and everything. It was so nice to meet these ladies in person since I follow their blogs or Instagram accounts and only knew them through that. Meeting people face-to-face makes a world of a difference in my opinion.

Then on Saturday, Steve and I decided to keep our plans for the day low key since we'd both been traveling recently (me in Atlanta and he in San Francisco). So we went out for lunch and hit up the mall (nothing else to do when it's cold outside and you have a baby). During our shopping trip, Cora made her first wish at a fountain and got her first pair of walking shoes (she has other shoes which you've seen on my Instagram account but they're for show, not so much walking).

I ended my weekend by hanging out with my bestie, LWT, and meeting more DC bloggers at a Madewell event hosted by Rosa. I was excited about this event because I knew Rosa and Ashlyn would be there (so glad to have met you both!), but I was so pleasantly surprised to meet Ashley too! I've been trying to connect with more DC/MD/VA bloggers and have had such a great time meeting everyone. After having a lovely time meeting with these ladies, LWT and I went to what I consider my new favorite happy place: Jonathan Adler. I had a feeling that the store was going to blow my mind and well, it absolutely did. JA's style is modern, fun, whimsical, and polished - everything I want my house to be described as. As you can see, I took a ton of photos. I couldn't help myself!

The only way to end such a wonderful Sunday afternoon is to have lunch with your best friend at Patisserie Poupon with a gabfest. Right? This weekend was so much fun, that I'm still recovering from it.

My $10 flats from the Gilt City Warehouse Sale. I also got a cute Whit dress but I am not tan enough to show you how it looks on me. And the top I got at the Madewell event I attended on Sunday.

What a perfect picture. Does anyone else think that the gold banana is giving the finger?

My jaw dropped when I saw all of this. Can you find me in this photo?

Obsessed with the couch but not so much with the price tag. We're thinking of this one instead for Steve's office/den.

Perfectly elegant and streamlined. Exactly what you want in a desk.

I went real evil and got a bacon & cheese quiche at Patisserie Poupon with my bestie, LWT. We also picked up almond croissants, which were absolutely divine. I got two to take home (1 for me and 1 for Steve). Mine didn't survive the drive home. Nom nom.
