How was everyone's weekend? Ours was jam-packed with fun things and not-so-fun things. What were the not-so-fun things you say? Well, we finally cleared out the major pieces of furniture in Cora's future playroom, aka the guest room. It's been a long time coming, but this past Saturday was the first day in months that we've had time to do this. We've just been busy with vacations, weekend getaways, and me getting a stupid summer cold. But we finally rented a U-Haul van and schlepped our guest room furniture over to my parents' house. It's kind of funny because we've basically relocated our guest room over to my parents' house, so now we've literally got a home-away-from-home setup there. It's great!
There are still a few things we need to do in order to get the guest room cleared out to make way for the new playroom (boy, do we have A LOT of stuff in there), but we're making progress!
On to the fun stuff! Yesterday, we went to a cowgirl themed birthday party and boy was it fun! The birthday girl was Sofie, one of Steve's coworkers daughters, turning 2 years old! As you can see, the decorations were amazing and so detail-oriented that I just had to share photos of them with you all. The minute we parked, we got into the spirit of the party with the extremely fun (and appropriate) "HOWDY" signage at the driveway. There is nothing like welcoming your guests even before they've entered the party to get into the spirit of things, don't you think?

Best corn muffins I've ever had. A bold statement, but these were like gourmet I tell ya.
The burlap ribbon was used to dress up the plastic tablecloth and I think it certainly did that. Liisa, you are a genius. I'm definitely copying this.

Those fun cowgirl hats with bandanas were worn throughout the party. There were also sheriff badges too!
