Doesn't this look like the perfect place to host an event?? Makes me want to host something just because it's so darn charming.

It seems that every weekend, we somehow manage to pack in a lot and well, this weekend was no exception. We started out Saturday with a bang and headed to Ikea to pick up a few pieces of furniture for Cora's playroom. Yes, we are finally getting it done! We still have a lot to do before I think the playroom is ready for a photo shoot, but it's so rewarding to see it come together since it's something I've been talking about for too long now.

Then after we put together a few of the Ikea pieces, we discovered a magical place right here in Annapolis. Not that Annapolis doesn't have it's charms, but to find an idyllic vineyard just 5 minutes away from us? It just blows my mind. Not only is Great Frogs set on picturesque land, but their wine is really good! Our close friends, Jeff & Bonnie, organized a private wine tasting for a group of us and it was exactly the kind of Fall Saturday activity you'd want to do. And to be honest, both Steve and I had been feeling really stressed out, so this was the kind of little 'getaway' we needed to just have a good time with friends and enjoy some fantastic local wine.

Then on Sunday, we went to Homestead Gardens to check out their Fall Festival with Steve's brother and his family. It was a little crazy because it seems everyone else had the same idea so we didn't stay too long. But we went to a nearby park and let the two little girls have some fun at the playground and then a walk around the park. It was the perfect way to end the weekend.

Yes, that is me drinking red wine. I'm not the biggest fan of red wine (I get a hangover while I'm drinking it!), but the cabernet sauvignon was fantastic.

The weather could not have been more perfect for an outdoor wine tasting.

The perfect drink for the cool weather, mulled wine. Yum!

I know, we've all seen this bookshelf everywhere, but it really works in this space! And the cubbies are perfect for bins, or just to hold books.

How adorable are these mini rattan chairs? I'm definitely going to add some kind of cushion or faux sheepskin to make it more comfortable for Cora. Although, she doesn't seem to mind that it doesn't have a cushion...

We got two of these storage benches, but I'm definitely planning on re-covering the cushions with different fabric. That pattern just doesn't really jive with the rest of the palette in the room.

We could not get this little girl to leave the miniature Christmas display. She was absolutely fascinated by it.
