Recap // Our Hawaii Vacation

The day after we arrived in Kailua, we all woke up early to catch the sunrise. Luckily, jet lag served us well that day, because it was such a beautiful sight.

We're baaack! As sad as it was to leave Oahu, especially after our stay at The Royal Hawaiian, it feels so good to be home and to get ready for the holidays! We had a wonderful time with my family in Hawaii. It felt kind of like being home in some ways for me since I was born there and lived there til I was 6. My earliest memories are of the beach and of life there, so it was a nice homecoming for me, especially since I was bringing my own little family there.

I wrote a bunch for each photo, so instead of rambling on here, I'll just let you guys get to the good stuff, the photos. Enjoy!!

Such a beach bebe. Went in with her clothes on after we had watched the sun rise.

The pool at our beach house was like a dream.

We took so many photos at my cousin's wedding, but somehow this was the best one of me and Cora. Surprise, surprise.

The most perfect backdrop for a wedding. The Mid-Pacific Country Club is unreal, guys.

Just a handful of the jewelry that I brought on the trip. And most definitely my favorite pieces I've got right now.

So, a few months ago when Old Navy was still selling Summer wear, I got this pineapple romper (similar) for Cora cause I knew it would be the perfect ensemble for her to wear to the Dole Plantation. I know, too obvious, but ya know what, I couldn't help myself. There could not be a more perfect outfit for a trip to a pineapple plantation, right?

Being total tourists.

All I can say is that I don't think I got enough Keoki's Shaved Ice on this trip. Although, even if I had had it everyday, it still wouldn't have been enough. It's that good.

Don't be fooled, Waimanolo Beach Park was absolutely perfect looking, but there was a warning sign for man-of-wars (giant jellyfish), so we steered clear from swimming. But it sure is pretty to look at, no?

On our last day, we checked into The Royal Hawaiian since our flight wasn't until midnight. It was the perfect getaway if you could call it that. If you come to Hawaii, you need to stay here. It's beyond paradise-like and was a total dream to be there. If the grandeur of the building and warm hospitality don't get ya, the pink decor will. Especially the pink umbrellas on the beach.

Cora's first umbrella drink. Don't worry, it was just a kid's smoothie.

I wanted to take one of those pink umbrellas back home with us.

My kind of cabana.

I absolutely loved the indoor/outdoor living aspect of the hotel. It was all open air and even though you were 'inside' it still felt like you were outside enjoying the scenery.

No better way to end our amazing family vacation in Oahu with a piña colada. Aloha Hawaii! Til next time!
