As I've gotten older, I've really whittled down the amount of time it takes me to get ready for the day. I'm embarrassed to admit it, but before kids it took me waaay too long to get ready. Poor Steve would hear me say, "I have nothing to wear", while I try on everything in my closet and then deciding on the first outfit that I had tried on.
Times have changed and I'm happy to report that it takes me no time to get dressed now. Granted, having kids will do that since time is really of the essence. But I'd like to think that I've gotten wiser with the choices that I've made in my closet. I've learned to purchase pieces that I consider staples, and that will easily be paired with multiple different pieces in my closet. Getting several outfits out of one piece is a criteria for me nowadays, and it really makes a difference in how quickly I can create a look everyday.
Now, that's not to say that everything I have is boring or plain. You can still have fun with prints, pattern, & colors as long as the cut or style of the piece is classic. And let's not forget about accessories. For this look, I immediately gravitated towards the starry print on the blouse. I'm a sucker for a good print and at 40% off (use code SWEET), how could I not snag it? With it's button down style, I knew the shape wouldn't go out of style any time soon, and I would be able to nurse in it easily. Paired with flares, it modernizes the 70s look and is so easy to wear, especially during these Fall days. And it could easily be worn with skinny jeans, a denim skirt, or a midi skirt. Lots of different options, so you get the most bang for your buck.
