In the past, I've always leaned towards dresses and skirts when thinking of what to wear for holiday parties and events. I don't know why, but it's just kind of an automatic reflex when choosing something to wear. Probably because I don't normally wear dresses and skirts on the daily, and so it feels special to wear during the holiday season. But this year, I'm living on the edge and changing it up by wearing pants. Granted, they're not just regular ol' pants. They're sequined pants. Clearly I don't get out much. But when do I ever get to wear sequined pants?? Right?

The holidays are seriously the perfect time to wear them because 1) they're sparkly & festive, 2) they're pants so they're comfy, and 3) you'll be warmer than if you had chosen to wear a dress or skirt. That last one is really more for those of us living in areas with colder temps, obviously. So there, I've given you 3 really good reasons why pants are the way this year and hopefully after you've seen how I styled these sequined pants (just $40!!), you'll be in the pants camp too. And on a side note, that vest (so versatile, I'll be sharing another way to wear it real soon) will be covering up any food babies I get from stuffing my face with yummy food, so that's an added bonus right there.
