A few weeks ago, I was doing some Christmas shopping in Anthropologie when I spotted this Acadie Neck-tie Dress. The minute I saw it, I knew it had to come home with me. Normally, I don't splurge at Anthro like that. I like to think about my purchases for a while before taking the plunge and swiping that credit card. But I needed an outfit/dress for Christmas dinner and because I had an Anthro gift card burning a hole in my pocket, I decided to nab it! And I am SO glad I did. It is so comfy, flattering, versatile, fun, lady-like. I mean, do I really need to go on??
Our Christmas dinners are more on the casual side, but I still want to look nice and this dress fits the bill. Plus, I can see myself wearing this for other occasions like date night, baby showers/bridal showers, or lunch with the girls. See, lots of opportunities to wear this number. Here, I wanted to show how well it goes with my other favorite recent purchase, the camel blazer. And with the weather being unseasonably warm, I paired it with my ankle-strap sandals. But when the weather gets cold again, I plan on wearing this with some boots, both ankle and OTK.
