I'll be honest, this year, Steve and I probably won't be going out on a romantic date night for two. It's become increasingly difficult to find childcare for both girls. Vivi is in the separation anxiety stage and has stranger danger with anyone who isn't me or Steve. Even with the grandparents, she's still wary and won't stand for it if we aren't there with her. So as you can see, leaving her with someone is kind of out of the question at the moment. BUT if we were to go out on a romantic Valentine's Day date, you bet I'd wear this number.
I had some unexpected mommy time for an hour the other day and knew that Forever 21 would be a good place to go without the kiddos. Plus, I somehow always have luck finding something there, so off I went. While a lot of their items are a bit on the skimpy side for me, I was able to find a few pieces that I can add to my wardrobe, including this romantic dress for under $30! The slightly puffy sleeves that bell out a bit, a cinched in waist, and the midi length make it flattering for anyone. And the print looks like something you'd find on a much higher-end dress, right?
And the colors in the dress go perfectly with my new Amelia Rose earrings and ring, wouldn't you say? Both pieces are great because they can be dressed up or down. I'll definitely be wearing the ring on a daily basis, and the earrings (LOVE them!) whenever I need to add some oomph to my everyday mom-outfit of leggings and a sweater. They'd make for a great Valentine's Day gift and comes in a variety of colors if pinks and ruby reds aren't your thing.
Whatever you all do on Valentine's Day, hope it's with loved ones and sweet treats! I think I'll be at home with the hubby and some chocolate and wine on the couch. My kind of perfect night in.
