Blanket scarves, bell-sleeved sweaters, and booties. Try saying that 5 times fast. Bet you can't! But I bet that you'll love those three things in today's outfit post. You really can't go wrong with them now that it's cooler out. I mean, the blanket scarf kind of stole our hearts last year, right? And I'm happy to say that we are all still in love with them. They're so cozy, and add that extra bit of warmth when we don't want to bulk up with a coat. Then the bell-sleeved trend is so huge (remember this and this?) and really helps just add a bit of oomph to an overall simple sweater (this one's just $41!). Especially with the colder weather, we want to stay warm but still have some fun with what we wear. With booties, I'm pretty sure everybody here owns a pair since they really are a staple to a Fall/Winter wardrobe. They're easy to wear and go with so many things. Plus, they keep your feet warm, so it's really form and function in one. Especially these ones from Nordstrom. They're ridiculously comfy (haven't had to break them in at all), and the color goes with everything.
With my daughters being 4 yrs old and 15 months old, I have to stay on my toes to keep up with them and any outfit I wear has to be practical. And now that Fall is here, it's all about being practical and cozy. I realize that the John Hardy diamond bracelet might not be practical, but I beg you to differ. I recently unearthed it from when we were getting our floors done (had to pack up everything in our bedroom), and am so happy to have rediscovered it. Steve had given it to me right after we got married and it is one of the nicest pieces of jewelry I own (ashamed that it was buried in boxes in our closet!). It's silver and I know everyone is on the gold train (I am too!), but I'm loving how well it goes with my wedding rings on my left hand. Even though it's got diamonds in it, it makes any everyday look just a touch more glam. Or at least that's my thinking. And it's actually comfortable to wear and doesn't get in the way when I'm holding Vivi or doing the dishes or other chores. I tried it out the other day while doing chores around the house and it did not get in the way like my other bracelets (bangles and cuffs) do. So the moral here is that you should wear diamonds while doing chores and it'll be all good. Just kidding, but seriously it's a "new-found" favorite and just prepare to see me wearing it a lot.
