Happy Friday! We've been making some progress with the updates to our home and I am so excited to share with you some photos of Cora's repainted room! If you guys remember, her room used to be this really pretty French griege color. You can see photos of it here. As much as we loved that color, it just felt too dark for a little girls room. And when I saw this little girl's room on Studio McGee's website, I knew that I had found a color that would look perfect in Cora's room. Love and Happiness by Benjamin Moore is the color we chose and is the prettiest shade of coral-y pink.
We, of course, asked Cora if she would want her room to be repainted in a pink shade and she quickly replied yes! She said she wanted it to be super pink, but we were able to convince her that this color was going to be perfect for her room. And when we revealed her repainted room to her, she first was speechless, just taking it all in. And then she screamed out for joy, jumped up and down, and said she loved it! She loves her "new" room and honestly, I am in love with it too. It's my favorite room in the house now. It's such a happy space yet is soothing somehow, and it just is such a pleasing color to look at. And with the addition of the chair rail that we added (Steve's idea!), it really makes the room feel so fresh and just a tad more sophisticated then when it was painted the French griege color, which I thought was a pretty sophisticated color.
I thought I would do a quick shoot of the room since we had just put it together for Cora and it was actually clean and organized for once! The girls got in on the fun and I have to say, I adore these photos of them in this beautiful updated space for Cora. I love seeing her enjoy being in her room now (she didn't feel this way before, sadly) and feeling like she has a girly space to hang out in. I actually think she has more of a sense of ownership over her room now that she had a say in what color we chose.
We've been updating other spaces of the house, so I'll be sure to share what we're working on next. In the meantime, enjoy the photos and I hope you guys have a great weekend! Happy Friday!
Cora clearly has seen me taking photos of my clothes and I guess it was just a matter of time before she started doing it too. I didn't think it would happen this soon, though!
