A few weekends ago, we went to the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay as a Father's Day gift to my dad. Both of my brothers and my brother Tim's fiancé, Liz, came too. It was such a wonderful time away with family and I wish we were all back there now. We all agreed that the close proximity of the resort made it easy to getaway for the weekend. Even though it was so close to home, we felt like we really went away somewhere and it made it that much more of a vacation for us. If you live in Maryland/DC/Virginia area, definitely plan a getaway to this resort, there's so much to do! Between the three pools (two outdoor & one indoor & a waterslide!), a golf course, a small beach, a spa, miniature golf, tennis courts, beach volleyball, and more, you won't ever run out of fun things to do.
It's a great place for families with kids of all ages. Our girls loved the pools, which is what we spent most of our time enjoying. But I'm looking forward to enjoying all of the other amenities as they get older.
We're off to get some dinner at Stoked Woodfire Eatery in downtown Historic Cambridge.
My parents stayed in a petite suite that had this bunkbed. This kind of room will be perfect when Vivi gets a little older and can sleep in one. I love that the resort took a simple bunkbed and made it a bit more modern & glam by using a glossy dark blue paint.
I'm really into one-pieces right now and these two are my absolute faves at the moment.

We got lunch as soon as everyone arrived at the resort. A crab cake sandwich was a must!

After dinner, we walked to the small beach area since the girls wanted to check it out.
The resort has an outdoor fireplace where you can make your own s'mores with these s'mores kits they have at the gift shop. This was right after the girls devoured theirs. It was actually Vivi's first time eating one and to say she's obsessed with them is an understatement.
The next morning, we did a quick shoot with the girls by the water before heading to Cambridge Diner to get some breakfast. The food there is SO good and you just can't beat the prices! You can shop all of our looks here.
After our delicious breakfast, we hit the pool up! Another shot of one of my favorite bathing suits. Did I mention it's just $13??
I don't really drink much alcohol, just because I seem to get a hangover while I'm drinking. How sad is that? But that doesn't stop me from getting yummy drinks by the pool. The resort offers most of their cocktails in mocktail form, so I was able to get a strawberry mojito with no alcohol and it was delicious!
Lunch by the pool was equally yummy. We couldn't decide if we go healthy or go evil so we did both.
