Somedays, I really miss apartment living. There's public transportation (love taking the bus), quick trips to the grocery store via walking (miss doing that the most), impromptu get-togethers with friends, and the most obvious (since I write a home decor blog) is a smaller space to furnish. Somehow, filling our townhouse with furniture and decorative accessories has been an ongoing process, and while I absolutely love our house, I wish it was furnished with the main pieces already!
Smaller spaces seem to be so much easier to fill (and cheaper) and have a innate coziness to them that a large house just doesn't easily attain. And don't get me started on the charming architectural details that you only find in older buildings. Crown molding, high ceilings, little nooks & crannies, and classic layouts are what get me going. But it's the overall way of city living that I miss and hopefully one day I'll be able to enjoy it once more. Miss you DC!

This is the reason why I love apartment living.

It's all in the wallpaper.

The way the plates are arranged add such charm to a very dated kitchen.

Lonny Mag
If I was a bachelor, this would be my dream bathroom. Masculine, sexy, and polished.

Apartment Therapy
The way this room is setup and decorated is perfection.

A great way to showcase (and conceal) your boudoir.

What a great entryway to walk into!

Having your essentials be a part of the decor is absolutely brilliant.
