I'm sorry for such a delayed post! I've been quite busy these past few weeks at work, which means less time to write to you all. But even with all of the craziness at work, I have been able to work on a very small project at home. We've got so many blank walls and it drives me crazy not to see anything interesting on them. Soooo, I decided to go with an inexpensive way to dress them up.
My sweet husband bought me these Kate Spade books for Christmas and within each book, there are illustrations that I think are the loveliest things I've ever seen. Well, I figured why not photocopy the illustrations, print them out on matte photo paper, and frame them. And although it included a trip to Office Depot to get photo paper, and a quick stop at Pottery Barn to pick up matted picture frames, it all took less than a day to get done!
You can use anything for this project, a favorite calendar that is out of date or an art book with unique illustrations. The thing I love about this DIY project is that whatever images you choose, the chances that other people will have them in their own home will be slim-to-none. I'm all about having hard-to-find art in my house and this is a great way to ensure that. I'd have to say that this is quickly becoming one of my favorite DIY projects.
