wanderlust in my veins
Happy New Year! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday break and enjoyed some r&r with loved ones. I sure did! Although, my experience wasn't exactly what I had envisioned for the holidays. In a nutshell, a few days before Christmas, Cora caught a cold, while teething (she literally got her two front teeth for Christmas!), and then I somehow developed a sinus infection! You can imagine the lovely nights we had attending to our ill, teething baby. But my ever-amazing husband somehow took care of us and made Christmas dinner for his and my family (yup, we still hosted).

While I was sick, I had a lot of time to think about this past year and the year ahead of us. 2012 was a great year for us, honestly probably one of the best years we've had since the year we got married. Among the many blessings we had in 2012, the biggest and best of them all was having our little girl. She has taught me what it means to be 'in the moment.' And looking forward to her development and discovery of the world gets me so excited for all that is to come in 2013.

Something else that gets me equally excited for the new year is this blog! It has given me such joy to write and share my musings about the world of interiors. The above image makes me want to work even harder at all of my professional endeavors this year and I hope that 2013 brings personal and professional success to all of you as well!
