Hello darlings! It took me awhile to get an outfit post together but here it is! Just in time for Valentine's Day too! I wanted to share with you a simple date night look that I'll definitely be wearing this weekend when we go on a quick weekend getaway. I've seen a lot of go-all-out type of Valentine's Day looks, but I tend to stick with pieces that work with my body and that I know will be comfortable. To me, it's all about comfort, if I'm going to be fidgeting all night long over what I'm wearing, then it's just not worth it to me no matter how good I look. And a girl really can't look that great if she's fussing with her clothes the whole night, right?

Last week, I had a chance to have some mommy time so I went to one of my favorite on-trend stores, H&M, to see what they had in stock. I found a few things including the black top I'm wearing above, which I knew would be perfectly sexy-yet-demure for a date night. I like to keep things classy, ya know. I could also see wearing this top with a skirt, but since it's freezing outside, I'm sticking with jeans for now. To balance out the demure up top, I thought these sexy-as-anything Zara heels would be the perfect complement. Now, I realize that if you are like me and are experiencing this polar vortex, you might not want to wear open-toe heels, in which case you could wear closed-toe heels, ankle booties, or boots. But I have been dying to wear these Zara heels so I just had to despite it being cold outside.

While you can get most of this look at retailers, several of these pieces (watch, bag, black ring, red bracelet, and pendant necklace) are vintage. The black ring and the red bracelet will be available in my soon-to-be reopened Etsy shop, Shop Proper Hunt, which specializes in vintage jewelry, handbags, and housewares. The reopening date has yet to be determined since my schedule at home is a little crazy right now, but it is definitely in less than two weeks, I can promise you that!
