Weekend Recap // Wrabyn Fete & Homestead Gardens Fun
Monday, November 16, 2015
A total stunner.
Happy Monday! Hope you all had a fun weekend! We stayed close to home this weekend, albeit we had plans to watch the lighting ceremony at the National Harbor with our good friends. It turned out to be way too cold and windy to have Vivi outside since she was just recovering from a little cold. But despite the change in plans, it all worked out and we had a great weekend full of family time. I also got to head to Wrabyn to celebrate their 2nd birthday! And you guys, everything in that gorgeous shop, needs to get in my closet. I'm not even kidding. I had to highlight one of the jewelry lines there because I am completely enamored with it. Auden, based out of NYC and handmade in NYC, just took my breath away. It's upscale but has a little edge so it doesn't feel too precious or girly. It's the perfect combination of cool, glitz, and wearability. I took a few snaps of the goodies below. I'm hoping someone gets the hint with xmas just around the corner...
We also hit up Homestead Gardens to check out the decorations and to get some ideas for our own house. We'll be busting out the Christmas decorations from storage in a few days to assess what we're going to use and what we need before buying anything. In the past, we tend to purchase before assessing and we've decided not to do that this year. We end up buying unnecessarily and just wasting money, so we've decided to map it all out before buying anything. I'm hoping it creates a more cohesive look in the house as well as saving us some $$.
Hope you all have a great start to your week!

That vest on the left is so luxe, I just love the snap details up top mixed with the fur on bottom.

This Ted Baker coat has my heart. The fit is unreal and the color is a perfect blend of blush and mauve.

I'm telling you guys, Auden's line is sooo good.

Sunday morning was the perfect time for me to ease into the day with working on Vivi's birth announcements. We were late with sending out Cora's and we are yet again late with sending out Vivi's. Some things will never change.

I realize that we haven't even celebrated Thanksgiving yet, but we just can't help ourselves in getting into the Christmas spirit. A trip to Homestead Gardens was the perfect family outing to get ideas of how to decorate the house.

Checking out the huge train display with daddy.

I couldn't help myself but take a pic of her with this giant nutcracker. It was just too funny to see something almost her size.

We had a feast at my parents' house last night. Love coming home for family time and meals.

This green tea cake was THE BOMB. I think I need more green tea cake in my life now.
