How is it that Thanksgiving is in just two days?? I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm super excited about celebrating the day with my family and eating loads and loads of delicious food. But, it just comes up so fast that I don't even have a moment to think and pause and really take in the meaning of it. Do you guys know what I mean? I think what happens around this time is that I (and I'm sure a lot of you too) get caught up in wanting to feel like I've got a handle on things (having an amazing Halloween costume and outfitting the house inside & out, decorating for Thanksgiving and giving it proper due, and then decorating for Christmas & gift shopping), but then life kind of happens. The kids have birthday parties to attend, the hubby has to go away on business, someone in the family gets sick, or something else that completely distracts me from getting through my to-do list. And anytime I get overwhelmed with things I need/want to do, I kind of freeze and nothing really gets done. Does that happen to anybody else? If you've figured out a way to combat it, please let me know!
